Simone Rocha has just released the lookbook of her collaboration with H&M. To our surprise, it features a menswear line, unlike her eponymous brand. The result is a romantic and sensibility-laden collection that continues Rocha’s classic codes.
Simone Rocha announced her collaboration with H&M just a month ago; today we already know the result of this proposal full of sinuous patterns and suggestive textures. In addition, we were all surprised to see that the collection also includes a men’s line, unlike the eponymous brand that only works designs for women.
The entire lookbook is an ode to the new masculinity. Rocha’s romantic and sensitive spirit is transferred to each of the pieces in the collection. We see trench coats, sweaters and shirt collars with embroidered pearls; also dresses with lace and brooches in the form of bows. The prints with photographs by Jacob Lillis (@jacoblillis) stand out.
“I hope that the items in this collection will be worn and treasured for years to come,” the designer said in a statement. “They were all informed by ideas and inspirations that have shaped me and my brand over the last 10 years, and I am so excited to see them worn out-and-about and interpreted and styled in new ways.”
The Simone Rocha x H&M collection will go on sale March 11 on the H&M website. In the meantime, don’t miss anything about SS21 here.
