Since it launch, or rather since we saw them walking around the Pitti Uomo in 2017, the Converse x J. W.Anderson (@jw_anderson) stole our hearts.
This season, SS18, has again relied on Chuck Taylor 70s, his favorite silhouette, as well as Thunderbolt. Inspired by the evolution of sneakers over time, Jonathan talks about “a labor of love and obsession”. If the glitter was protagonist in the first collaboration, now it’s the suede that takes the lead. A version of the 70s, to which we predict a premature sold-out, and two variants of the Thunderbolt that we also don’t dislike compose this mini-drop.
The new capsule reminds us of classic brown men’s shoes. Regarding this, Anderson, comments that the shoe was treated like a sneaker at first, then introduced the details and finally gave the finish of a classic shoe. When it comes to how to wear it J. W. says “for me, they’re perfect with chino pants or jeans and a white t-shirt.”
A new bet for the purest classicism with streetwear touches that make J. W. Anderson‘s vision a unique way to conceptualize the trend.
The new J. W. Anderson x Converse collection will be launched at JW Anderson stores around the world and converse. com and jwanderson.com today March 2nd.
