Etro is another Italian brand that has just presented its latest men’s collection for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2022, during MFW (Milan Fashion Week). Etro’s show, like Prada’s, is another one of the most awaited shows and has become an almost indispensable part of fashion week.
On this occasion Kean Etro, creative director of the men’s line, wanted to pay tribute to the Italian musician and artist Franco Battiato, and take inspiration from some of his lyrics, which contain cultural, exotic, philosophical and religious references. Held at Milan’s Scalo Farini train station to the sound of Franco Battiato’s music, the Etro show was one of the first guest shows of fashion month.
Regarding the collection, Etro wanted to fill the Milan fashion week with colour and optimism and bring back the term and trend “colour block”. Combining colours such as yellow and aqua green or orange and green, Etro has loudly confirmed that “positive vibes” and colour will be back in its garments and accessories next year, among which we can highlight its silk shirts, knitted waistcoats, Bermuda shorts, metallic trousers, suits or bags and backpacks. Another of the brand’s hallmarks, which have also been present in this latest collection, are its now legendary floral and paisley prints. In addition to the vibrant colours, neutral tones such as beige and earth tones also had their place in this collection.
What do you think of Etro’s latest collection? The best, isn’t it? Take a look at the gallery and find some “inspo” for your next summer look.
