Tom Ford‘s fashion show, like every edition of New York Fashion Week (NYFW), is one of the events that generates the most expectation and intrigue, whether for his new collection or for the dozens of well-known faces that occupy the front row of his show. This last one, held at the David Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, as was to be expected, was not to be expected, since after almost two seasons without holding its fashion show, T.F. is back with its RTW SS22 collection.
Composed of 42 looks, the American designer rescued all the glamour and glitz that characterises him and that we so desperately needed to see after the pandemic. But unlike other occasions, Ford decided to keep the formalwear to one side and add a touch of glam to the athleisure style garments, such as tank tops, joggers and shirts knotted at the waist.
In addition, denim jackets with inlaid gold appliqués, leopard-spotted lamé tailoring, and gold or silver necklaces worn over unbuttoned shirts are also noteworthy.
