As part of London Fashion Week, Shoop digitally transported us to the periphery to experience a fashion race for spring-summer 2022. In it, the models ran around the Rozas de Puerto Real Radio Control Circuit dressed in resistance and freedom; two concepts that stimulate and weave this new story that, beyond the material, transcends the emotional.
The co-creative directors and agents of change, Miriam Sanz and Yohei Oki, collaborated for the occasion with photographer Kishin Shinoyama on a series of graphic pieces that recreate the artist’s iconic photographs from his books “Nude” or “28 Girls By Kishin Shinoyama” under the slogan “Nude is beautiful”.
The collection thus becomes an ode to nudity, resistance, freedom, and individual authenticity. A powerful imaginary that materializes in each of the garments inspired by motorcycling and the military, but also by the most classic tailoring.
In connection with the zeitgeist, we can see how the proposal includes some upcycling garments giving a new value to fabrics leftover from other collections using patchwork and handmade embroidery. All this bathed in a chromatic palette of earth tones, khaki, blacks, blues and oranges.
The avant-garde brand includes in this expression of freedom other collaborations with the artists X-presion Creativos in a series of visors with hair, and another with the graphic artist Daniel Benza in the creation of some prints.
