Vans and BAPE® merge their DNA to delight streetwear enthusiasts

Vans is proud to partner with BAPE® to create a first head-to-toe collection for the streetwear enthusiasts.

Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, is proud to partner with BAPE®; the iconic Japanese streetwear pioneers, for its first head-to-toe collection.

 

 BAPE® (“A Bathing Ape”) continues to bring Japanese street style to the rest of the world since 1993. Located in the heart of Tokyo, one of the world’s leading fashion centres, the brand has remained a symbol of street fashion for over 27 years.

Vans and BAPE® share the same roots; street culture and self-expression. In late 2020, the two brands gave streetwear fans a taste of what could be, with a limited edition Vans Customs collection, sold exclusively in China. A year later, and for their first global collection, it’s only fitting that they bring their iconic identities together to create a range of clothing and footwear that redefines classic silhouettes.

The first instalment of the collection includes Vans‘ two most recognisable footwear icons: the Sk8-Hi 38 DX and the Authentic 44 DX. The first model features the BAPE® ABC camouflage outline with a classic Vans touch in black and white. A custom camo tongue tag and red Waffle sole add an elevated touch. For fans of the iconic A Bathing Ape camo print, the Authentic 44 DX combines BAPE®‘s first camo and Vans ripstop canvas for a more understated look.

Completing the collection is a hooded sweatshirt available in two colours: black and mottled grey, with a mix of logos and prints.

Vans x BAPE® will be sold exclusively at the skate and Japanese brand’s retail outlets; on vans.eu and bape.com. The collection will be available from 1 November in China; from 13 November in the Asia-Pacific region and will land in selected outlets in the Americas and EMEA on 29 November; followed by vans.com on 30 November.
