Vans is proud to once again join forces with BAPE®, the iconic pioneers of Japanese urban design, to create their second joint collection. The heritage of both brands, rooted in urban style and individual expression, is brought to life with a collision of iconic identities resulting in a collection of apparel and footwear that redefines classic Vans silhouettes.
BAPE® has been sharing Japanese street style with the world since 1993. Founded in the fashion melting pot that is Tokyo’s Shibuya district, BAPE® started out making limited series of T-shirts inspired by street style and counterculture. Today, BAPE® is a truly global institution in urban design; known for its camouflage prints and for bringing creative expression to life through attitude and design.
The collection includes the reinvention of two of Vans’ most iconic designs: the Sk8-Hi and the Old Skool. The refined new edition of the Sk8-Hi 38 DX is characterised by the colour combination of the pair. A contrasting, eye-catching design with the custom ABC Camo camouflage print; exclusive to this collection. A Vans classic, the Old Skool 36 DX features a simple suede upper and BAPE®‘s most iconic camouflage print, ABC Camo.
The capsule collection is completed with two limited edition T-shirts in a simple black and white colourway with logo detail and vibrant Sk8-Hi artwork from the Vans x BAPE® collection. We celebrate two of the pillars of the urban design scene joining forces to become one cornerstone.
Vans x BAPE® will be available from 26 February. It will be sold exclusively at BAPE® and Vans retail shops, as well as on vans.com and vans.eu.
