And the wait is over. After more than a year with the creative direction of Louis Vuitton empty, the maison has appointed Pharrell Williams as the successor to the great Virgil Abloh.
No Martine Rose, Colm Dillane or Wales Bonner. The person in charge of filling the great void left by Virgil after his death will be none other than Pharrell Williams. This was confirmed yesterday by Louis Vuitton through an official statement, assuring that his first men’s collection will be presented during Paris Fashion Week next June.
“Pharrell Williams is a true visionary whose creative universe spans music, art and fashion, making him a major international cultural icon. The way in which he is able to break boundaries in the different worlds he explores aligns with Louis Vuitton’s status as a cultural Maison, reinforcing its values of innovation, pioneering spirit and entrepreneurship,” says LV management.
Congratulations Pharrell!
