Balenciaga transforms its “The Mud Show” 3XL Trainer model by eliminating the back, as it did with its Speed silhouette.
As seen on the Instagram profile @demnagram, one of Demna’s new experiments are these Balenciaga sneakers mule version inspired by the model “The Mud Show” 3XL Trainer.
The trainer that was presented at the Summer 2023 runway show is now transformed into a mule by eliminating the rear part of the upper, just like the maison had already done with its Speed silhouette. We know that Balenciaga loves to rework its own footwear models into a new pair.
This style has the characteristics of the original silhouette; it does not wear leather, but has opted for a mesh and polyurethane construction with a worn look adapting to the creative style of the house. A set of laces is again located on the upper, and another merely decorative one is placed on the toe cap. The brand’s monograms can be seen on the toecap, heel and the inside of the insole.
The main colorway is grey as shown in the images, and a pink version could also be subtly perceived in the background. @demnagram shows that this sneaker is already available in some boutiques.
