Pharrell Williams, the Grammy award-winning musician and fashion designer, has recently launched new colourways for the iconic adidas Samba silhouette called “Humanrace Samba Colors”. The collection features vibrant colours inspired by different countries and cultures from around the world.
The Humanrace Samba Colors collection is a continuation of Pharrell’s collaboration with adidas, which began in 2014. The collection is a celebration of diversity, unity and individuality, which is reflected in the unique colour combinations and designs of each shoe. The DNA of Pharrell and Humanrace continues to be echoed in each of the models.
Pharrell’s inspiration for the Humanrace Samba Colors collection came from his travels around the world, where he witnessed the beauty of different cultures and communities. The collection features 10 different colourways, each inspired by a different country: Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, South Africa and the United States.
The shoe features the classic adidas Samba silhouette, with a premium leather upper made with water-saving ECCO Leather technology, rubber outsole, Pharrell’s logo on the heel and an “equality” message on the upper. The singer said of the collection: “We’re instilling high-quality materials and craftsmanship back into footwear.
Humanrace Samba Colors by Pharrell will be pre-launched exclusively for the Virginia Beach community at Pharrell’s SOMETHING IN THE WATER Festival April 28-30. The collection will launch globally beginning May 6 through adidas Confirmed and Humanrace.
