'This excessive ambition' by C. Tangana opens in theaters today

Just a few hours before its premiere at the In Edit Festival in Barcelona and its simultaneous premiere in cinemas throughout Spain, ‘Esta ambición desmedida’ has already reached the figure of 15,000 tickets reserved in the pre-sale process activated four weeks ago.

The film, which both C. Tangana and its three directors are presenting in Barcelona, can be seen today, Thursday the 26th, in 169 theaters throughout the country. Starting tomorrow, Friday the 27th, it continues with regular programming in 156 cinemas in almost all Spanish provinces.

This documentary will be shown for one week and with limited screenings, so reserve your tickets. The success of the pre-sale has generated that there are full shows in several Spanish cities and many others on the way to ‘sold out’. In the coming days, special passes will be announced with the team’s presence through their social networks.

‘ESTA AMBICIÓN DESMEDIDA’ celebrates its premiere today at the In Edit Festival in Barcelona, an essential event for the musical documentary. Since its debut, “El Madrileño” has amassed over 2 billion streams worldwide, topping the charts and reaching No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Album Debuts chart. Santos Bacana, Cris Trenas and Rogelio González form the closest directing trio that could exist to document C. Tangana and show his most intimate and personal side.

Directors and artist, as well as partners and co-workers, are friends, which has allowed in a very organic way to record situations from the different areas of Antón Álvarez’s life (Pucho for friends, C. Founder of Little Spain, where she works as a creative producer, Cris Trenas studied screenwriting with a Fulbright scholarship at the prestigious UCLA and has worked in content production for internationally renowned institutions and companies. For his part, Santos Bacana is creative director, largely responsible for the imagery of the “El Madrileño” album and also founder of Little Spain.
