The debut design of the original Single Hearts collaboration is revived in two classic colour combinations and children’s sizes.
It’s been 15 years since Converse and Comme des Garçons first joined forces back in 2009, when the ‘Heart and Eyes’ logo invaded the iconic Chuck Taylor All-Star. Since then, we have witnessed more than 20 different iterations that marked a before and after in the fashion industry and culture in general.
And to celebrate, the brands have reunited to reissue the design that started it all: the PLAY Comme des Garçons x Converse OG Single Hearts pack. While the first design of the collaboration appeared on the Chuck Taylor All-Star, Converse and Comme des Garçons are bringing the OG Single Hearts to the Chuck 70 and Chuck 70 Ox for the first time.
The pack keeps the details of the 2009 OG logo intact, which has appeared on several models over the years: the heart and eyes logo represents the minimalist, optimistic and simple style of the special meeting.
Today, 11 July, the four models are available in adult sizes and, for the first time, in children’s sizes. Decorated with ‘Heart and Eyes’ lettering on the side, they are available in Milk and Black. The limited-edition Chucks are made from premium canvas and feature sock linings, OrthoLite cushioning and a vintage label.
You can find the COMME des Garçons x Converse OG Single Heart Chuck 70 pack at Dover Street Market and DSML E-SHOP.
And speaking of special collaborations… Salehe Bembury presents the Crocs Saru Mule in ‘Citrine’ and ‘Ginebra’.
