This collection marks a new chapter in Louis Vuitton’s sublime wardrobe. From back to the office to end-of-year celebrations, the collection is underpinned by classic patterns, polished tailored suits and luxurious fabrics for both mid-season and mid-winter.
The colour palette features a range of greys and earth tones, complementing classic black, navy and white tones. As a counterpoint, an explosion of velvet, delicate beaded embellishments and the new codes presented by Pharrell Williams in his first runway show as Creative Director of the Maison’s men’s line.
Modern office basics such as double-breasted overcoats and straight trousers are complemented by characterful outerwear with sheepskin (also in a double-breasted coat) and a novelty shawl cardigan, while a vicuna blouse adds the ultimate in luxury.
The eveningwear is filled with embellishments. Such is the case of the cardigan with the new LV Cursive acronym embroidered in gold, which looks perfect with cigarette trousers buttoned from top to bottom and with the new patent leather loafers with a subtle gradient of the Maison’s Damier print.
The Maison also offers a three-piece velvet dinner jacket with satin piping, paired with a white plastron shirt and LV Cursive silk bow tie. The LV Cursive evening jacket and cigarette trousers are embellished with the new ‘Damoflage’ print created by Pharrell.
The Louis Vuitton Formal collection continues to build its line-up of sophisticated, premium leather accessories. New for the season is the versatile Taiga Avenue Messenger, a sophisticated compact shoulder bag with an adjustable strap in classic black.
Small leather accessories such as wallets, billfolds, pocket organisers and card holders are also available in the season’s grey tone with blue lining. The Sac Plat is a modern alternative to the briefcase. This versatile horizontal zip-top bag features the Monogram Eclipse print.
The exceptional Milésime line, handmade from premium calfskin leather sourced from Domaine des Massifs, is extended this season with the Georges pouch. Designed to accompany the Georges tote, the Georges duo will be available in classic black or sophisticated grey.
The Richelieu Varenne and Chelsea boots come in waxed calfskin, discreetly embellished with Monogram flower embroidery on the upper and outsole. In addition to brown and black, they will also be available in scarlet. The new Kensington models of loafers and lace-ups take shape in a mix of calfskin and textured Epi leather, with the Monogram flower on the heel.
The ensemble is complemented by accessories such as reversible scarves in soft wool or lightweight cashmere, LV Lovers striped ties, tight LV knitted hats and exotic leather belts with LV metal or sterling silver buckles. LV Legacy sunglasses are expertly assembled from Japanese acetate and titanium. The LV Padlock, now in a silver-plated palladium finish with the Maison’s insignia engraved in grey enamel.
The Louis Vuitton Formal collection for spring-summer 2025 will be available in shops on 29 August.
