Even as the temperatures start to drop and you indulge in your pumpkin latte, don’t forget that somewhere in the world, someone is still living in the heat of endless summer. Brazil, perhaps? Brazilians aren’t exactly in the middle of the summer season, but with their year-round sunny weather, they certainly still enjoy warm skies.
Esteban Cortazar, the Miami-born Colombian-American designer, has made his mark in fashion, dressing icons such as Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue and Rihanna. Now, Cortazar is embracing a new challenge: resortwear. His latest project, Donde Esteban, is an ode to those who dwell in an eternal summer, offering collections that perfectly capture the sunny romance and carefree days.
Close your eyes and think of Rio de Janeiro, what do you feel? The sea breeze, the warmth of the golden beaches, the vibrant pulse of the city. Donde Esteban’s latest campaign transports you right there. Shot in Brazil’s most iconic city, the collection draws on Rio’s unmistakable energy and natural beauty. Together with São Paulo-based photographer and creative director Ángel Castellanos, they created a short film that brings the collection to life, showing the magical essence of Rio through the eyes of its inhabitants.
‘Working with Angel has been a dream come true. Our creative connection has shaped this shared vision. This campaign is a story of love, family and the sensual, vibrant energy that defines Rio,’ says Cortazar.
The collection is a display of flowing fabrics in vibrant, tan tones, including swimming costumes, shorts, lightweight shirts, dresses, skirts and accessories that evoke that timeless summer spirit.
