Louis Vuitton’s ‘Core Values’ with Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer continues

The campaign, immortalised through the lens of renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, shows tennis’ two most revered champions now reaching the summit of Italy’s Dolomite mountain range.

At an altitude of 3,000 metres, far from the familiarity of the court, Nadal and Federer are not shown as opponents, but as partners, reclining on the top of the mountain. A visual metaphor for their arrival at the summit in their long sporting careers, marked by their mutual respect and friendship, as well as by their continual overcoming of the obstacles they encountered along the way.

Federer achieved an unprecedented record 20 Grand Slam victories and unparalleled elegance on the court, and Nadal boasts 22 Grand Slam victories, including 14 French Open victories, always displaying exceptional athleticism and mastery. Together they represent two parallel odysseys in which they went from young prodigies to global icons whose impact has inspired countless people of all generations.

Against the stunning backdrop of nature, Leibovitz‘s work shows the duo sharing a moment of reflection above the clouds: Federer in his classic Monogram Christopher backpack, a symbol of his timeless style and his own legacy in sport, and Nadal in his Monogram Eclipse, representing his dynamic energy and tenacity. Both embody the values of each of Louis Vuitton‘s designs and the Core Values campaign: a commitment to excellence and the transmission of dreams on a journey that goes beyond the physical.

‘I know that many important icons have participated in this campaign, so I am very proud to be part of it, and more especially to share it with Roger, who was my great rival and is now a great friend. Throughout my career I have achieved more than I ever imagined, so in the end the most important value is the legacy we leave as people,’ explains Rafa Nadal.
