Nicolas Ghesquière and his team took over the Palais des Papes in Avignon to demonstrate their theatrical strength, vision and precision craftsmanship.
Fusing the architectural force of history with the emotional narrative of contemporary fashion, Louis Vuitton explored the ability of garments to dress, narrate and move all who wear – and see – them. In a display of impeccable silhouettes, noble and experimental fabrics, and character embodiments, Ghesquière played with exaggerated volumes, dramatic cuts, and a palette that alternated sobriety with unexpected flashes of colour.
As if each piece had been designed to capture the chiaroscuro of a theatrical scene, the collection stands as a profound conversation where history and fashion mimic each other with excellence.
No one wanted to miss this special event held at the Cour d’Honneur of the Palais des Papes, not even Emma Stone, Cate Blanchett, Alicia Vikander, Sophie Turner or Jaden Smith, who starred in an exclusive front row, representing the LV family.
