Matthew M Williams, founder of 1017 ALYX 9SM, is in the news these last few days for his revolutionary blockchain project and the release of a new fetish accessory in his brand.
This year’s Copenhagen Fashion Summit was the event chosen by Matthew M Williams to give the boom with two news. The designer showed the 1017 ALYX 9SM blockchain pilot project in collaboration with Avery Dennison, which aims to label each garment with a QR code that can track the route of the piece through its production and supply process to ensure authenticity and improve transparency.
He also took the opportunity to showcase the designs of the long-awaited Rollercoaster Bracelets, which promise to become the fetish accessory for techwear lovers and expand the company’s range of accessories. Now, after a first exclusive online pre-release, the bracelets are on sale.
The design of the Rollercoaster Bracelet embodies the brand’s industrial-inspired aesthetics. It features the classic stab-lock buckle as the brand’s unmistakable central and identifying motif, with gold details and laser-engraved model descriptions on the outside and inside of the bracelet. It is made of anodised aluminium and two different versions have been launched, one in silver and the other in matt black, both available in larger and smaller sizes.
The Rollercoaster Bracelet is now available on the official 1017 ALYX 9SM website for 450€.
