A-COLD-WALL* once again proves that its experimentation in fashion and art has no limits. Samuel Ross now introduces us to a voyeuristic film with which to view his new autumn-winter 2021 collection. Kelvin Krash’s soundtrack induces us even more into conceptual escapism with its ethereal techno.
“UNTITLED” is the title that gives a name to this mysterious and anonymous universe in which, despite being conceived in the menswear framework, labels and masculinity do not exist as a social construction.
The film directed by Will Dohrn thus shows the London designer’s work in an unconventional atmosphere, to be seen under the excitement of the voyeur mode. The security cameras and spotlights zoom in and focus on the garments that weave each sequence rather than the themes.
In the collection, we can see the collaborative result with the brand of glasses RETROSUPERFUTURE, with the outerwear of Mackintosh, or the 1461 with Dr. Martens. The rest is served by the mind of Samuel Ross and his team.
In this sense, if we focus on the selection of clothes we can see how SS21 is built from workwear and technical garments, which include its classic tactical waistcoats or jackets in a palette of neutral tones. In keeping with the era we live in, the house brings out its interpretation of loungewear with pleated pajamas.
Among codes such as patchwork, tie-dye, or garment deconstruction, the delivery balances its elegance with a range of tailored suits, graphic and geometric jumpers, or trench coats.
