Adidas Originals presents Kermit the Frog in its Stan Smith

Adidas has just announced that its acclaimed Stan Smith model is now 100% sustainable. This is a celebration: if before it was one of the most sold shoes in the market, now its sales will triple. Now, they have launched their greenest shoe. This is their latest collaboration with The Muppets introducing Kermit the Frog in the silhouette.

One of the world’s best selling sneakers is now proclaimed 100% sustainable. adidas originals announced just one week ago that the iconic Stan Smith tennis silhouette will be 100% sustainable.

Now, adidas is launching a new iteration of the silhouette in collaboration with The Muppets. The shoe features Kermit the Frog, one of the first creations of the renowned American puppeteer and producer, Jim Henson.

Designed with recycled materials, the pair is presented with a white leather upper and lime green details. The name of the iconic character, “Kermit” appears on the side replacing the classic “Stan Smith” badge. Kermit’s different illustrations on the sides close the collaboration, and the Muppets’ characteristic slogan, “It’s not easy being green”, on the heel.
