Alexander Mcqueen returns to London to present its SS22 collection

Held a few feet above the London sky and under a transparent bubble designed by Smiljan Radic, Sarah Burton, the current creative director of Alexander Mcqueen, presented her RTW SS22 collection to a small number of guests. This was her first staging and her return to the catwalks, as since the beginning of the pandemic, the British fashion house decided not to hold any shows. Not only that, but this "rentrée" also coincided with a return to the London catwalks after 20 years. As we said, after 20 years without presenting a collection in its home city, S.B. and his team decided to return to this one and present their proposal on the rooftop of a car park in London's East End, to pay homage to all the spectacular skies that Burton and his team see every day from their studio.
