The actors of “Friends” are reuniting in an unscripted reunion where we will see the six main characters together again. An original idea for HBO Max that will start shooting next week. At last our dreams are coming true.
The filming of the special was supposed to take place at the end of March 2020, but the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic put the project on hold like most productions. However, after successive stalls and delays, it seems that the stars have aligned and the “Friends” reunion has a new date.
David Schwimmer (Ross) was the one who confirmed this good news for many. “Yes, it’s going to happen. In fact, in a little over a month, I’m going to Los Angeles,” he said. “We found a way to shoot it in a safer way and there will be a part that will have to be shot on location because of anti-COVID protocols.”
A year later than planned, the adventure begins and as Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) says: “It’s going to be great. You know? It’s also given us more time to make it even more exciting and fun than it would have been,” she said, adding, “Look, we’re not going anywhere. You’ll never get rid of ‘Friends’, I’m sorry. You’re stuck with us for life, guys.” And we hope so…
