Alexandre Mattiussi’s iconic heart known as Ami de Cœur serves as the inspiration for the new jewellery collection in collaboration with Alan Crocetti.
Both designers celebrate love by reinterpreting AMI‘s signature ‘A’ logo to create a unisex line of exclusive accessories in the form of necklaces, bracelets and rings.
According to Mattiussi himself, “I have been following Alan’s creations for a long time. His universe is unique, very personal and sexy. I love his extremely well-designed work. I wanted the new AMI collection to present an elegant and simple jewellery line, but with a strong identity. Together with Alan, we decided to start with the heart, as it is a symbol at the heart of AMI’s history and signature. Alan continues to push the boundaries and I truly believe he is the most creative jewellery designer of his generation.”
For his part, Alan Crocetti says that all the pieces embrace the meaning of love. “In jewellery, it is said that if you wear a ring with the front facing you, it means you are wearing it for yourself and the opposite to show it to someone else. In this collection, the hearts are facing both ways, which conveys the idea that you have to love yourself in the same way that you project and give love to others.”
