To celebrate the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year, Bottega Veneta is temporarily appropriating part of the Great Wall.

“Happy New Year” or ‘新春快乐’ is the colourful festive message on a monumental screen on the Great Wall in shades of Bottega green and mandarin (a symbol of good luck in Mandarin).

In addition, Bottega Veneta has made a donation to support the conservation, renovation and maintenance of the ‘Shanhai Pass’, the easternmost bastion of the Great Wall, historically known as the ‘First Pass Under Heaven’.

Following Matthieu Blazy’s appointment as creative director, this is one of his first actions. The Belgian has worked for Maison Margiela Artisanal, alongside Phoebe Philo at Celine and Calvin Klein.

Matthieu Blazy’s first collection as creative director of Bottega Veneta is scheduled for February 26th at 8pm in Milan and is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly awaited shows of the women’s fashion week.

Now… Why don’t you take a look at the looks of Euphoria Season 2?
