Bottega Veneta creative director Matthieu Blazy’s debut for the new Winter 2022 campaign presents multiple points of view.
From that of the photographers and directors of photography to that of the models. Thus, Blazy‘s “foundational” collection begins its journey from backstage at the Palazzo San Fedele in Milan to the Horst Festival in Belgium and back again to Italy to end up on its southern coast. The campaign vivifies the designer’s notions of craftsmanship in motion and silent power through 41 static and moving images, photographed mainly in film format.
“Bottega Veneta is essentially pragmatic, as it is a brand focused on leather accessories. Because of its expertise in creating bags, it’s all about movement, about going to a certain place; there is the fundamental idea of craftsmanship in motion. It is style over fashion in its temporality. This is part of its silent power” – Matthieu Blazy.
