Burberry highlights the power of self-expression in its latest collection

Burberry and Riccardo Tisci have unveiled one of their most different Spring/Summer collections to date, “Universal Passport”.

Riccardo Tisci and Burberry have just presented their Spring/Summer 2022 collection during the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week (PFW). Replacing this time the forest in which he presented his previous menswear collection or his minimalist space in beige tones for an esplanade full of sand, Tiscci proposes a Spring/Summer very different to what we are used to.

Leaving behind the bambis that Riccardo adored, the logos and the brand’s mythical print, this time Burberry has presented a very different collection to its previous ones. The designer’s latest collection for the British brand has been dubbed “UNIVERSAL PASSPORT” and is all about the power and beauty of self-expression, but also about the power of escaping to celebrate. The latter has a lot to do with the concept of their fashion show, since as we can see in the video presentation of the collection, the models appear celebrating a “rave”.

As for the looks, we can see how a clearly rejuvenated aesthetic with a more avant-garde air takes over each and every one of the garments and accessories. The dozens of deconstructed trench coats in beige, black or transparent material and their strapless tops or T-shirts with geometric prints and shapes stand out. Finally, special mention should also be made of their leather garments in black or burgundy, their tailored garments with white stitching and their skeleton-shaped accessories.
