The collection explores a very personal style. It was captured by British photographer Mark Borthwick who, with his minimalist style, points to Burberry’s new vision. The new portfolio celebrates the new facets of the brand starring Rianne Van Rompaey, Fran Summers and Mariacarla Boscono.
Burberry presents its FW19 pre-collection campaign designed by Ricardo Tisci, a proposal he himself has described as a “continuation of the story I began to tell in September”.
Presented for the first time at the Spring/Summer 2019 fashion show, we found foulard silks with new and archival details on jackets and cardigans. On the other hand, the classic shirts are re-imagined with intricate patterns. The equestrian details of the collection are a clear reference to the Burberry archive, present in both ready-to-wear and accessories.
For men, Ricardo Tisci’s new English-style suit inspired in Savile Row stands out. Also available in stripes. The ties are striking, all in light shades to match the shirt, with stripes, dots or plain.
The contradictions of youthful style constantly clash in the collection. However, the iconic gabardine prevails. In contrast, a utilitarian parka is presented with workwear details that can be dismantled. The collection is dominated by mythical shades of beige, orange, red and black.
Already available in Burberry’s official web.
