Calvin Klein has chosen Willy Chavarria’s New York vision, and has appointed the designer as the fashion house’s new Senior Vice President of Menswear. He will be responsible for leading the conceptual vision and design of the seasonal collections for Calvin Klein North America and Global Essentials menswear lines. Calvin Klein’s new menswear phase has only just begun.
Chavarria will bring to the US brand his extensive background in menswear design, ranging from American Eagle Outfitters and Ralph Lauren to niche brands such as Dickies Construct. Not to mention his experiential learning acquired at Yeezy for more than two years.
The Californian designer will work closely with Jessica Lomax, the brand’s Executive Vice President and Global Design Director since last December. With her, he will conceive and create this new universe, which from now on will be influenced by Willy‘s 90s streetwear/workwear and his ongoing campaign for social justice.
