Florence, the ancestral home of Emilio Pucci and the Maison, plays a starring role on this runway where Camille Miceli presents her debut as creative director of the house. Entitled Initials E.P., the collection combines innovative creation with an out-of-the-ordinary style.
Inspired by Emilio Pucci’s design of the official logo for NASA’s Apollo 15 space mission in 1971, the season launches into a chapter of its history. The collection takes inspiration from the 1960s, enhancing the Tuscan palette and exploring a more liberated Pucci woman, with vaporous fabrics and form-fitting jumpsuits. The collection opens with a flowing kaftan with the Pesce motif, light as a kite.
When Pucci’s signature print is absent from the looks, embellishments take center stage, giving a new twist to the maison’s artisanal techniques. The signature Marmo print appears on the looks with denim that has been laser-treated and washed with reused water as a sustainable process. Here, a bustier and baggy jeans, or a fringed jacket with a shawl collar paired with a mini skirt exude a ’90s attitude.
The new bags emphasize fun and functionality throughout the collection. For example, the Daily the Puccinella straw bucket bag with a bold bikini detail. Fishy stiletto heels come with hats that feature printed sunglasses.
From Florence to the rest of the world, Emilio Pucci shows us his funniest side. Camille Micelli marks a new stage of the brand with more optimism and joie de vivre.
