Camper arrives with a unique concept: the restaurant “Café Camaleon”

Camper opens Café Camaleon, a casual dining restaurant concept with Mediterranean flavours in Berlin’s lively Mitte district.

Café Camaleon is an informal restaurant concept opened in the lively Mitte district of Berlin.  Its name comes from the first shoe brand used by Mallorcan farmers in the countryside. Café Camaleon offers a range of fresh, seasonal dishes with strong Mediterranean flavours from Italy, France, Turkey, Greece and Spain.

Designed by Netherlands-based architecture studio Mvrdv together with Mallorca-based gabinete gras architects and Berlin-based architect laura rave, this versatile space unifies three distinct areas: Camper Berlin’s hotel lobby, the shop display and its new restaurant Café Camaleon.

Located on the ground floor of Casa Camper Berlin, Café Camaleon offers a range of fresh, seasonal dishes with strong flavours from the Mediterranean, particularly from its birthplace, Spain. Mixing traditional and contemporary cuisine, the restaurant presents a menu with exquisite flavours and products.

Like a chameleon, the menu is always changing and so is the ambience. You can be having focaccia for breakfast on the terrace, eating fried octopus with black aioli at the 18-metre bar that links Casa Camper to the restaurant, or dining with a fine Mediterranean wine, ambient music and the unmistakably Berlin atmosphere.

Café Camaleon is open from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm and on Sundays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. For reservations and information write to [email protected].
