Casablanca FW21 is the Monaco Grand Prix of the 70s

Casablanca takes inspiration from the most glamorous scene surrounding the Monaco Grand Prix for its FW21/22 at Paris Fashion Week.

Inspired by the most glamorous scene surrounding the Monaco Grand Prix, FW21 Casablanca collections crosses the barriers of luxury and gender. In an ironic twist, in line with its summer launch, Charaf Tajer decides to premiere its first womenswear collection right on Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

Casablanca (@casablancabrand) has opted for the fashion film format to present the FW 21/22 collection. Monaco by day and by night, that’s how the creative director decided to tell the story. On one side, the Formula One races, and on the other side of the coin, the casino, illustrated with motifs of cards and gambling. That’s not the only duality at play here: with this collection, Tajer debuts oficially a complete line of women’s clothing.

A show of an elevated lifestyle with a parade of garments and accessories in the purest 70s style. The usual Casablanca prints are alternated with harlequin checks in reds and blacks and playing card symbols. The models, both men and women, wear pearls, cardigans and the brand’s usual silk blouses.

Tajer’s mood board for Casablanca’s new collection, Grand Prix, includes style references ranging from renowned Casablanca muse (and former owner of the Monte-Carlo Casino) Aristotle Onassis to Belgian racing driver Vanina Ickx.

Charaf Tajer has achieved with Grand Prix what he achieves in all his collections. The perfect symbiosis between timeless luxury and athleisure.
