Coperni’s show is once again the most viral at PFW

The Coperni FW23 show stood out for the interaction between technology and humans, once again betting on innovation.

Coperni went viral on social media after making a spray-dress on Bella Hadid live during the last Womenswear Fashion Week. This FW23 season, the Parisian brand has left no one indifferent and has surpassed the spray dress, thanks to a choreographed sequence between the models and yellow robots in the shape of a futuristic dog.

After the media success and millions of views on social media of the spray dress made on Bella Hadid’s body, it was a difficult task for Coperni to surpass itself. During Paris Fashion Week, all eyes were on the brand’s creative directors Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, who faced the complex debate between dying of success or disappointing after their last show, which was described as “historic”.

The event took place at the Théatre National de Chaillot, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. An audio of Jean De La Fontaine’s fable “The Wolf and the Lamb” opened the show. The parade was opened, to our surprise, by a four-legged yellow robot in the shape of a futuristic dog. A few minutes later, the robots made by the American engineering company Boston Dynamics multiplied and gave way to the flesh-and-blood models.

The silhouettes of the first part stood out for their sobriety. The first look was a fitted black suit followed by an LBD, as well as grey blazers and pencil skirts, white blouses and black knitted jumpers. Another key point of the show was the long dresses with silver mini sculptures and handbags. But the most surprising thing was when one of the robots ripped off the jacket of one of the models and then Lila Moss herself gave up her handbag.

In the second part of the show, the music picked up and the looks became more daring. Oversized structured coats, ripped jeans, silver dresses and tops or white fur skirts and mini-dresses. The “Bridge” boot came in a revamped rubber version and the viral “Swipe” bag was this time made from a meteorite that fell in the south of France 55,000 years ago. It was arguably one of the most viral accessories of the show.

Coperni‘s show stood out for the interaction between technology and humans, once again betting on innovation. The autumn-winter 2023 collection also included a reflective silhouette created in collaboration with the Les Arts Décoratifs fashion school and a jacket hand-painted from an image created by an artificial intelligence. “It’s a beautiful story about the balance of power between different groups. Instead of the wolf and the lamb, we reinterpreted it as humans and robots”.

Coperni presents the cutest campaign ever.
