Countdown to the XC-72 New Balance x Casablanca

Following the success of the New Balance x Casablanca 327, their relationship continues to take shape with the highly anticipated release of the XC-72 model. During the creative process, they were inspired by the sports cars of Monaco.

Casablanca launches two new silhouettes of the XC-72 together with New Balance. The colour scheme is inspired by that of the luxury automobiles that once plied the roads of the principality. The “Grand Prix” theme is repeated again after having served as a thread in the Autumn/Winter 2021 collection.

The XC-72 silhouette is a major innovation for New Balance models. Three different sole patterns, inspired by the trainer brand’s traditional models, come together to create an aesthetic that is progressive and new, but still reflects the brand’s origins.

“Since we started working on the collaboration, we called it “The sports car for your feet”, as it evokes that feeling of when you first see a luxury car as a kid,” says Casablanca creative director Charaf Tajer.

The silhouettes are available in two different colours. The orange and green, paying homage to the first collaboration. The second, in red and yellow, further connects to the concept of the cars, with the black sole evoking racing tyres.

The limited edition collaboration is available on the Casablanca and New Balance websites, and in selected shops worldwide from tomorrow 27 August for 150 euros.
