Daniel Arsham transforms Tiffany & Co. motif into a giant padlock

Daniel Arsham collaborates with Tiffany & Co. designing the Bronze Eroded Tiffany Padlock art piece which is part of the ‘Lock’ collection.

It is an eroded bronze Tiffany lock worth $59,000 and conceals an 18k white gold bracelet with diamonds and tsavorites.

Daniel Arsham‘s unique talent has made him one of the most acclaimed artists on the international scene. Now, he is collaborating with Tiffany & Co. to design the Bronze Eroded Tiffany Padlock artwork that forms part of the ‘Lock’ collection. The work takes the form of an eroded padlock, a classic motif of the jewellery house and one that dates back to the late 19th century, when functional padlocks were first offered to customers.

To top it all off, the Bronze Eroded Tiffany Padlock conceals an exclusive limited edition bracelet made of 18-carat white gold and set with diamonds and tsavorites.

“It is a very personal project for me, but there is also an element of history in it: a link between generations of craftsmen, between function and design, between craftsmanship and beauty. These are the elements that make Tiffany unique, the elements that allow it to constantly fine-tune the “sweet spot” between heritage and modernity. I wanted to create a work of art to celebrate this,” says Daniel Arsham.

The launch is limited to 99 units only and the value of the piece is estimated at $59,000.
