Di Petsa presented its SS23 collection through a screening at London Fashion Week. The brand, famous for its signature wet look dress and exploration of femininity and water, has become part of the British Fashion Council’s official NEWGEN programme.
Di Petsa‘s pieces have become a symbol of self-acceptance and empowerment. The brand’s esoteric research-based approach continues to be explored through The Moon Tastes of Wine. Written and directed by the brand’s designer Dimitra Petsa, the film explores her subconscious, reflecting on herself and the creative process.
Di Petsa’s SS23 collection is inspired by healing powers and earthly connections, sacred femininity and magical realism. “The inspiration you find by letting go, immersing yourself in the nature that surrounds you and rooting yourself in the belief of being present and connected to your body, your vessel and the water that contains it,” explains founder Dimitra Petsa.
Di Petsa’s signature combinations of draping, stitching and transparencies are revamped this season through loose-fitting garments, silk organza kaftans and dresses made from recycled mesh. Healing rose quartz crystals and glass become one with the tailored pieces, representing the duality of the female form.
