Do you have $55 million? You can go to space

Two billionaires just paid $55 million to visit the International Space Station. Take a look at your bank account, or look through the holes in your sofa or in the pocket of a jacket you haven’t worn in a while. If you can raise that kind of money, you’ll be able to travel to space.

Estación Espacial Internacional

Axiom Space has just announced a partnership with SpaceX to launch the first private flight to the International Space Station. The spacecraft will carry two billionaire citizens, plus a former pilot and an astronaut. Someone will have to drive the craft, of course.

Who are these two people? One is Larry Connor, a real estate investor, the other Mark Pathy, CEO of Mavrik. Both will be immersed in an eight-day journey along with former NASA astronaut MIchael Lopez-Alegria and former pilot Eytan Stibbe. The liftoff date will take place in January next year.

Ready for space tourism? I certainly am. If you want to know the latest news about Elon Musk’s company, click here.
