Drôle De Monsieur reconnects the polarization of street-luxury aesthetics in its textile vision for spring-summer 2022. Creative directors Maxime Schwab and Dany Dos Santos reimagine in this new story the luxury leisure of the 80s through modern codes with which to build the ideal vacation wardrobe.
The creative duo revisits the golf uniform by dipping into argyle prints, polo shirts, and cricket knitwear that now take on a new contemporary meaning. Pleated pants and Bermuda shorts in warm and cool colors encourage versatility in any look, while paired with oversized striped sweaters, silk vests, and cotton shirts that bathe the collection in preppy vibes.
The tracksuit returns in both technical fabrics and luxury tweed and houndstooth iterations. The entire athleisure universe is dyed in whites and greens inspired by the Chesterfield Hotel in Palm Beach, as well as in brighter colors as a tribute to the designers’ hometown of Dijon, France.
The French house that vibrates with the aesthetics of the streets thus materializes in this collection the preppy eighties style with the nineties sportswear to serve us the best summer menu. The pieces will be released in the coming months on the Drôle De Monsieur website.
