Eating a hot dog will shorten your life by 36 minutes

The University of Michigan deduces that eating a hot dog shortens your life by 36 minutes and a sandwich adds up to 33 minutes.

A new study by the University of Michigan has ranked foods according to the minutes of life they give or take away. This has led to issues such as a hot dog shortening your life by 36 minutes, while a peanut butter and jelly sandwich adds up to 33 minutes.

A nutritional index published by the University of Michigan Health School ranked 5,800 foods according to the minutes of life they give or take away. Beef, processed meat, pork, lamb, cheese and sugary drinks cause the loss of vital minutes. Nuts, fruits, vegetables and whole grains generate minutes gained.
