As the name of the festival indicates, it takes place in Ortigia, the oldest part of the city of Syracuse.
More than 19 thousand people from 40 different countries decided to come to the Ortigia to live those 5 unforgettable festival days. One of the peculiarities of the event is that it is lived in 7 separate places making each of them an unforgettable experience. Two of the favorites of the public are the boat parties and the kilometer 0 location located in a green field of Syracuse.

In this sixth edition of Ortigia Sound System were present heavyweights such as Giorgio Moroder, Neon Indian, Ben Ufo, Emmanuelle, Ross from Friends, the Boiler Room or Virgil Abloh.
The line-up was also joined by new names: Yussef Dayes, a young English drummer, the young Belgian-Caribbean artist Charlotte Adigéry and the French musician, producer and sound engineer Myd .

This year’s edition was entitled “New Feeling”, in homage to the homonymous piece by Franco Battiato. In fact, Ortigia is able to fuse in itself different disciplines, all united by the desire to discover and improve the territory in which the festival has its roots. Therefore, it is not only a music festival, it also includes live painting by Domenico Romeo, video installations of New Abstraction, talks by Leonardo Caffo, the football tournament organized by Calcetto Eleganza and the Maurizio Tentella TNT van to savor the true flavor of Ortigia.
