Louis Vuitton returns with the third and final campaign of their Spring/Summer 2019 collection designed by Virgil Abloh.
Filmed by Raimond Wouda, “School Teens” is the third and final chapter of the Men’s Spring-Summer 2019 Collection. This chapter examines a fundamental element for the transition from adolescence to adulthood: the communication and interaction between adolescents that arises in group situations.
A contemporary reinterpretation of ‘schuttersstukken‘ from Dutch Baroque painting. The images of this campaign were made around Los Angeles schools and show the specific interactive culture of our adolescence marked by two elements: the desire to belong and the need for individuality. In constant evolution, this age tension between uniformity and diversity paves the way for man’s future understanding of his own identity, his personal style and what this means.
The students represented in the campaign wear uniforms such as colored T-shirts, a nod to Virgil SS19’s debut presentation. Once again, the latest exploration of wardrobe and identity presents Virgil Abloh’s leisure-focused footwear offerings, such as the sneaker LV Trainer Sneaker in hi subversion and Mid-Top, along with the much simpler LV Runner Sneaker.
