Feng Chen Wang FW23 is a contemporary homage to Chinese heritage

This collection, presented at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, fuses traditional motifs such as the iconic Chinese knot and blankets that belonged to her grandparents.

Carefully tangled fabrics form chokers and tassels on jackets, while woven bralettes display interlocking designs in the center part. A bright red suit is fastened with a braided knot that emphasizes the structure of the ensemble, a motif repeated on a wool coat. On the other hand, an eye-catching quilted bubblegum pink trench coat is decorated with a classic knot at the waist.

Leather jackets adopt exaggerated shoulders, while frayed jersey vests expose skin with frayed collars. A monochromatic ensemble in red steals the show with its knitted bandeau, cozy hat and scarf, and the collection is completed with a denim skirt with a leg slit.

In other fashion news, Telfar x Melissa’s ‘Telly Jelly’ collection returns in more colors.
