Gucci Décor and Alessandro Michele’s neo-romanticism

Alessandro Michele creatively directs this recent episode of Gucci Décor, which speaks of a new romantic modernity. Tradition and avant-garde come together once again in this Gucci collection featuring everything from cushions to designer cutlery.

Through a series of iconic items from the high-end brand’s history, Michele expresses this aesthetic in combinations of bold colors, prints, flowers, and eccentricity. Typical notions of interior design are now diluted on the basis of patterns of creative freedom.

Made entirely in Italy, the collection also celebrates Italian art, reflected through pieces such as blankets, quilts, and cushions made in wool, cashmere, or silk. The rectangular cushions, on the other hand, have a jacquard velvet base with the GG Daisy print, and a contrasting tartan wool reverse.

In the same artistic universe, the romantic furnishings are enhanced by armchairs and footstools upholstered in the floral motifs of Gucci’s heritage. Plates and bowls complement silver cutlery with a lion’s head motif and the Italian house’s iconic bee.

Gucci Décor is available at Gucci flagship shops and Gucci boutiques, online at gucci.com and at selected retailers.
