The Austrian house brings black and whites, earth tones and some neon and metallic splashes to his proposals for SS20. Thomas Dawson and Mark Howard Thomas’ new offerings are thought for an active an independent consumer whose priority is a relaxed silhouette and adaptable cuts for both casual and formal situations. A clean space with hectic electronic beats rounded the Ready-to-Wear presentation for Helmut Lang in NYFW.

HELMUT LANG NYFW

Being wearable to the fullest. That seems to be the main concern for Helmut Lang for Spring 2020. The precise and delicately executed pieces that composes their latest collection shows an ambition of having the full range of designs in your wardrobe for a daily use. Utilitarism and military vibes under a minimalistic approach are all over the creations displayed by Dawson and Thomas.

Sheer tops with varied collar options, pleated skirts, loose-cut suits, trenchcoats and multipocketed jackets, among other remarkable designs, took the stage in New York for Helmut Lang.

The shoe game goes hard on elegant ankle-strap stilettos and several combat-boot-inspired offerings presenting some buckled ones, others made of patent leather and a regular version in both black and white.

Bella Hadid stole the show when appearing in a black leather tank mini-dress over a brown sheer long-sleeve top. Attendees included Grammy-nominee A$AP Ferg, Game of Thrones’ star Maisie Williams or rapper Joe Badas$.

Once more, minimalism was a winner for Helmut Lang’s (@helmutlang) creative directors.

You know what they say: less is always more.
