Helmut Lang far from presenting its SS22 collection with a runway show has decided to present it in presentation format during the official calendar of New York Fashion Week (NYFW). This latest unisex line from the American brand explores the themes of familiarity and novelty through a line of nautical-inspired garments in bold colours.
On this occasion, H.L.’s creative team has decided to create a collection composed of 23 looks, which are characterised by the relaxed and minimalist style, by having the simple lines that reflect so much the new era of the brand, but also by the materials or fabrics such as canvas, rope and mesh with which the garments are made. In addition, some of these pieces are characterised by details such as raw edges, knots, layers and a technique called trapunto stitching that creates a raised surface on the fabric.
Finally, if we had to choose one of the looks, we would go for the first black V-cut ensemble, the mesh composite trouser suit and the red flared jumpsuit.
