Hermès takes inspiration from a desert rave for SS23

Hermès SS23 was inspired by “a rave in the desert” and devised looks that ultimately became elevated luxury.

Hermès brought luxury to the desert for its Spring/Summer 2023 collection this year. Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski was inspired by “a rave in the desert” and devised looks that ultimately became elevated luxury.

Hermès moved Paris Fashion Week to an imaginary desert setting. Vanhee-Cybulski wants to reinvigorate the cosmopolitan woman with utilitarian looks for long walks outdoors.

Leather jumpsuits and windbreakers in sandy beige and brown tones opened the Hermès Spring/Summer 2023 show. Utilitarian pieces, suede, leather and details of zips and laces highlighted the collection.

A dance in the desert, where the radiance of the dawn meditates on the acidic tones of twilight. The colours flow with the passing of the hours and run through the agile and ethereal silhouettes, enraptured by their lightness.

Vanhee-Cybulski surprised with a technical fabric mackintosh with a breathable mesh included in the bottom layer, as well as a hooded rain poncho constructed from supple leather.

LVMH, Kering, Hermès and Chanel turn their backs on Russia.
