A DJ and multidisciplinary artist originally from Madrid, Amanda Portillo began her musical career at a very early age in her hometown where she received the first notions of what would later become her passion: disco. Inside the capital’s most sought-after clubs, the artist reveals her most euphoric side, perfectly blending progressive rhythms and 90s techno. Outside the clubs, at private events and parties, her speciality is to make you dance even to unexpected Latin rhythms. A mix that inevitably raises the energy on the dancefloor.
Although she has a busy schedule, Amanda has made time for us and selected her must-have tracks for the HIGHCHART. #32: “In this playlist I’ve been true to my instinct and let myself go with the first thought of happiness and fun that popped into my head. “Among different styles I wanted to choose the ones that really don’t fail, the ones that always bring a smile to my face and make me take my feet off the floor to dance to them. There are the classics that we all know and some personal ones that have accompanied me throughout my life, and I’ve also included the ones that have not stopped being played during these two years at Mermelada and Bombón (Club Malasaña), where I am promoter and resident, two very different parties that represent very well who I am, techno and disco, my two passions”.
