One more week, from the HIGHXTAR team we are in charge of collecting the best plans to enjoy the weekend to the fullest. For all those without ideas… Pay attention, here are our weekly recommendations.
FRIDAY 11 MARCH
One more Friday, Razzmatazz turns into Fuego, the clubber’s answer to the urban music scene. This time, our trusted club hosts Cachirula, Yibril and Flaca. The DJ is the captain of DIMELOW, a reference night for perreo, and a member of the CHICA collective. Her mixtape “Peligrosa” of the hardest classic reggaeton and presented by Ms. Nina and Royce Rolo, made the net burn so much that C. Tangana declared it “best tape ever”. You can buy tickets here.
The Nocturne programmes at Nitsa/Astin are a sample of the balance and diversity of the current electronic music scene. A programme that travels through the most experimental sounds of great references, new sound synergies of outstanding national and international talents and sounds more focused on classic club genres. The event will take place at the Sala Apolo. You can get your tickets for Nocturne 2 on 11 March here.
SATURDAY 12TH MARCH
Sign up for Saturday afternoon to reflect and participate in knowledge. On 12 March at 4 pm, the Disseny HUB Barcelona will host a new edition of TEDxEixample. It will feature great speakers who will open our eyes to see, from many perspectives, the world around us. The event joins the #thinkbold thinking and we will be able to listen to experts from the scientific field such as: Carme Torras, mathematician and specialist in artificial intelligence; or Judit Giró, creator of The Blue Box, a quick and painless test that detects breast cancer. You can get your tickets here.
SUNDAY 13 MARCH
The thirteenth edition of the Montreal-based electronic music and digital creation festival Mutek is coming to Barcelona, and this year it is inviting a good representation of Canadian artists. Tim Hecker, Blawan, Shackleton and Ryoichi Kurokawa are some of the most prominent names on the line-up, which will also feature local creators such as Marina Herlop. You can get your tickets here.
