Supermodel Irina Shayk stars in the latest campaign, shot on the French Riviera, for Jean Paul Gaultier’s ready-to-wear collection. Combining the sensual silhouettes of the early 2000s and the iconic prints of the 90s, the French brand reinvents its iconic designs.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s summer collection is highlighted by the vibrant colours that flood into tight-fitting dresses and knitwear. Paying homage to the Spring/Summer 1994 “Les Tatouages” show, the banknote print returns to the 21st century in a reinterpreted version.
Jean Paul Gaultier draws inspiration from paparazzi culture and the tabloids, putting the supermodel in perfect magazine condition in front of the lens of British photographer Charlotte Wales. Irina Shayk dazzles while enjoying the beach in a high-cut one-piece swimming costume with lace-up sides.
In this collection, denim has a strong presence in low-waisted trousers, full of seams and corseted stitching. For cooler summer nights, knitwear is here to stay, as in the case of the French striped knit dress with boat neckline.
