The ‘Wood’ collection, imagined in collaboration with Kaneko Optical, is inspired by the beauty and natural texture of carved wood.
Each of the frames has been hand-carved, which means that each pair offers a unique result whose texture could not be replicated by industrial processes. Precision craftsmanship, titanium hinges and admirable lightness ensure functionality and style in equal measure.
The collection is based on four iconic styles: Round, Hexagon, Square and Boston, all presented in a sophisticated matte black colour that highlights the roughness of the material. To these are added lens options that allow for a higher level of customisation in shades such as grey, brown, blue or green.
The collection will be available from 6 January on the official website and at Issey Miyake‘s exclusive points of sale.
