Following the success of the first listening event for Kanye West‘s tenth album and all the anticipation generated, the rapper has announced that there will be a second event at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on August 5th at 9pm EST, or August 6th at 2am in the UK.
This second listening has been announced through a post on the artist’s Instagram profile, in which he has surprisingly tagged fellow designer and current creative director of Balenciaga, Demna Gvasalia. But why has West tagged Gvasalia? Well, no more and no less than because Demna will be credited as creative director of the next event. Surprising, isn’t it?
As for the music that could be heard at the 22 July event, it included collaborations with Pusha-T, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Baby Keem, Baby Keem, Jeremih, Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch and Pop Smoke. But in addition, Kanye also included spoken words from his late mother, Donda, and reunited with Jay-Z on the closing track, “I’m Going To Jail Tonight”.
