Krakatau’s FW21 collection is inspired by cryogenics

Krakatau FW21 stays in tune with its slogan “antagonist survival kit” through a new collection inspired by cryogenics.

Krakatau stays in tune with its “antagonist survival kit” slogan with a new collection inspired by cryogenics. In this capsule, the brand uses the thermal conductivity of carbon, the infrared radiation of coffee husks and the insulating capabilities of recycled plastic.

Krakatau’s latest collection is influenced by cryogenics, a branch of physics that studies the behaviour of materials at sub-zero temperatures. Since its inception in St. Petersburg in 1999, the label offers high-quality outerwear that protects from cold and rain and adjusts to different weather conditions.

The launch includes a variety of outerwear such as parkas, quilted jackets, nylon jackets and more. The SYCAMORE model is water-resistant, while AITKEN includes natural insulation and recycled plastic fill. In addition, the CRYOGEN jacket is quilted with a thermo-insulating vacuum material and a layer of carbon nanotubes.

Krakatau FW21 completes the garments with various accessories, from fanny packs that transform into backpacks, hats, scarves and gloves. If you want to get your hands on the collection, it is available on the brand’s website, as well as in its flagship shops in Amsterdam, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
